The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) ramped up efforts against crime with three arrests and multiple seizures in separate operations on Monday, June 23, 2025.

In the first case, a man identified by the initials L.Y.L. was caught attempting to smuggle drugs into the Miss Lalie Center in Cay Bay. Officers intercepted him around 10:00 a.m. and discovered narcotics concealed inside a deodorant bottle. He was arrested and transferred to the Philipsburg Police Station for further questioning. The investigation remains ongoing.

Later that morning, police intercepted a stolen Hyundai H-1 pickup truck on W.J.A. Nisbeth Road following a citizen tip. The vehicle had been spotted heading toward Philipsburg. Officers stopped it and arrested two male occupants with initials J.A.P.-E. and C.P.C. Both were taken into custody and are currently being interrogated.

In addition, police confiscated two illegal firearms during routine patrols over the weekend. KPSM reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on gun possession, warning that anyone found with an unlicensed weapon will face immediate arrest and prosecution.

Authorities stressed that illegal firearms pose a significant threat to public safety and called on residents to report suspicious activity. The public can contact police via 911, the main station at +1 721-542-2222, or the anonymous tip line at 9300.
