The Ocean Jewelers store at the Marriott Resort in Dawn Beach was robbed Friday afternoon by two to three suspects, marking the third jewellery store robbery at a resort on the Dutch side in just four months.
According to police, the suspects entered the store, carried out the robbery, and fled toward the French side. The KPSM Robbery Unit is investigating. Witnesses reported that staff and possibly tourists were also threatened, though police have not confirmed any injuries or the value of stolen items.
This follows similar resort robberies at Splash Jewelers in Simpson Bay on July 9 and Royal Caribbean Jewelers at Divi Little Bay on September 5.
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the KPSM Robbery Unit immediately.
