The 5th annual Saint Martin Gastronomy Festival officially opened Monday evening on Grand Case Boulevard with live music, entertainment, and a celebration of local culinary talent. The launch followed Sunday’s “Taste of Sunrise” brunch at Loterie Farm.

Speakers included Tourism Office President Valérie Damaseau, Collectivité President Louis Mussington, Michelin-starred Chef Laurent Huguet, Mixology Jury President Arthur Sutley, and Préfet Cyrille Le Vély, all praising the festival’s growth and innovation.

This year, 44 restaurants are competing for the “Best Table of Saint Martin” title, alongside nine BBQ teams, eight bars, and four food trucks. For the first time, other Caribbean islands—including Curaçao, Dominica, Barbados, and Antigua and Barbuda—will showcase their national dishes at the closing night on November 22.

The festival, themed around Saint Martin’s status as the “Culinary Powerhouse of the Caribbean,” continues to highlight the island’s world-class gastronomy and vibrant cultural fusion.
