Contour Airlines announced it would launch new nonstop service between San Juan, Puerto Rico, and St. Maarten starting November 14, 2025. The route connected Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport to Princess Juliana International Airport, expanding Contour’s Caribbean network and offering travelers a faster, more convenient link between two major regional hubs.

Flights were scheduled three times a week—on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—using Contour’s 30-seat regional jets, which offered extra legroom, complimentary snacks, and inflight service. Departure from San Juan was set for 11:40 a.m., arriving in St. Maarten at 12:45 p.m., with the return flight leaving SXM at 1:45 p.m. and landing in Puerto Rico at 2:50 p.m.

Contour Airlines President Ben Munson said the new service strengthened regional connectivity and created more options for leisure and business travelers. He called the route a vital link for two key destinations.

St. Maarten’s Director of Tourism, May-Ling Chun, welcomed the renewed connection, noting it would bolster tourism, support economic ties, and reinforce St. Maarten’s position as a regional hub.

Princess Juliana International Airport CEO Michael Cleaver added that expanding regional routes remained essential to the airport’s long-term growth plans. He said the San Juan service represented another step toward building a more connected future for St. Maarten and the wider Caribbean.
