The Police Force of Sint Maarten is investigating a tense incident in the Quilletor Drive–Madrid Drive area after officers recovered two suspected stolen vehicles and were later attacked with stones during the operation.

A patrol responded to a report of a previously stolen vehicle found in the area. Officers located a tampered vehicle, followed shortly by the discovery of a second suspicious car nearby. Both vehicles showed clear signs of theft and were confiscated, along with items found inside.

While a towing company was removing one of the vehicles, officers suddenly came under attack as stones were thrown at them from multiple directions. A nearby vehicle was damaged before patrols regained control and safely withdrew.

KPSM has condemned the attack, stressing that any assault or aggression toward officers is a serious criminal offense that endangers both police and the wider community. Detectives are now investigating both the stolen vehicles and the violent confrontation.

Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact +1 (721) 545-5555, 911, the KPSM Tipline at 9300, or report anonymously through official channels.
