The Ministry of VROMI is advising the public that a fresh round of pothole repairs is underway across Sint Maarten’s main road network this week.

Works began on the night of December 8 and continue through December 11, during the overnight hours of 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The Ministry has already identified and marked potholes along the main roads, allowing the contractor, Washington Construction, to move quickly from site to site.

Repairs are being carried out using hot asphalt, a fast-setting method that helps ensure more durable fixes while keeping traffic disruption to a minimum.

Drivers traveling at night are urged to slow down, stay alert, and obey all road signs and instructions from workers on-site.

VROMI thanks the public for its patience and cooperation as it works to improve the safety and quality of the island’s road network.
