Organizers of the Free Easter Fish Fry and Seafood Fest say this year’s turnout far surpassed expectations, with attendance easily exceeding 2025 figures.
Hosted by Radio St. Martin on Good Friday, the second edition of the event saw a major expansion in setup, including more tents, seating, and cooking stations to accommodate the growing crowd. By late morning, all available seating was already filled, even before the official start time.
Throughout the day, residents and visitors lined up for traditional Easter dishes, with volunteers working continuously to serve food. Among them was Member of Parliament Sarah Wescot-Williams, who joined in to assist with cooking and serving.
The event also welcomed community members such as residents of Bethany Home and Collectivité President Louis Mussington, adding to the strong sense of community participation.
In addition to food, attendees enjoyed activities including an Easter egg hunt, bingo, and cultural displays, creating a family-friendly atmosphere.
Organizers say the rapid growth of the event may require an even larger venue next year, as it continues to establish itself as a major Easter tradition on the island.
