The Police Force of Sint Maarten is continuing its investigation into a series of break-ins reported in Belvedere, Nazareth, and Dutch Quarter.

KPSM says several residents filed complaints after homes and vehicles were broken into, with tools and other valuable items stolen.

Based on information gathered during the investigation, officers went to a residence in Dutch Quarter on Thursday, May 27th, where they confiscated several bags of tools believed to be connected to the thefts.

Police are also reviewing videos circulating online that appear to show a suspect breaking into vehicles. Anyone with surveillance footage, cellphone video, or other information is asked to contact the Detective Department.

Residents who may be victims, especially those who have not yet filed a report, are encouraged to visit the Philipsburg Police Station and check whether any recovered tools belong to them.

In a separate notice, KPSM is calling on owners of scooters stored at the rear of the Philipsburg Police Station to retrieve them.

Owners must present valid ownership, insurance, inspection documents, driver’s license, road tax proof, and any other required paperwork.

Unclaimed scooters may be removed or disposed of as police prepare the premises for hurricane season.
