Preparations are underway for the 23rd edition of the St. Martin Book Fair, with this year’s theme announced as “Soualiga Flambo.”
The 2026 fair will place special focus on St. Martin authors and the growth of local writing, publishing, book sales, and literary readings across the island.
Book Fair Coordinator Shujah Reiph and committee member Cindy Peters say the event has come a long way since its start in 2003, when only a small number of St. Martin authors with published books were featured.
Today, organizers say they can draw from a list of at least 40 St. Martin authors, including both self-published writers and authors released through publishing houses.
The fair opens on June 5th at Heritage House in Colombier and continues on June 6th at the University of St. Martin in Great Bay.
The program will include a book launch, recitals, and the Presidents Award ceremony.
The St. Martin Book Fair is organized by Conscious Lyrics Foundation in collaboration with the University of St. Martin, Computech, and SOS Radio 95.9 FM.
