The Police Force has arrested two suspects following a shooting incident Tuesday night in the South Reward area.

Police say several emergency calls were received around 8:30 p.m. reporting gunfire near Milton Peters College. Patrol officers and detectives immediately responded and launched an investigation.

During the early stages of the probe, officers received information that led them to Burlap Drive in Cul-de-Sac, where they located two individuals believed to be connected to the incident. During the operation, police also recovered a firearm that had been hidden inside a foam cooler. The weapon was confiscated as evidence.

Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station, where they remain in custody for questioning.

Later that evening, detectives also made contact with the victim. Police say information gathered during the investigation suggests the victim may also have been in possession of a firearm at the time of the incident. That aspect of the case remains under active investigation.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Police Force or use the anonymous tip line at 9300.
