Prime Minister Dr. Luc Mercelina has congratulated Jocelyn Roberto Levenstone on his inauguration as the new Island Governor of Saba, calling the appointment a proud moment for the Dutch Caribbean and the Kingdom.
Mercelina praised Levenstone's distinguished public service career with the Police Force and the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard, saying his return to serve his home island reflects integrity, leadership, and dedication to the public good. He added that the appointment sends a strong message to young people across the region that commitment and perseverance can lead to the highest levels of leadership.
The Prime Minister also reaffirmed Sint Maarten's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Saba in areas including governance, sustainable development, emergency preparedness, and regional partnerships. He wished Governor Levenstone success in his new role, expressing confidence that he will serve the people of Saba with wisdom, compassion, and integrity.
