The Ministry of TEATT says 48 car rental companies have completed the 2026 Confirmation Letter Process, as government continues cleaning up its public transportation database.

The Inspectorate of Economic and Transport Affairs says the process is meant to verify which operators are active, improve enforcement and create a more accurate record of permit holders.

Any car rental operator not on the approved list now has until Monday, September 21st at 4 p.m. to submit outstanding documents or explain why the business is currently inactive.

Required records include tax information, vehicle inspection cards, insurance, permits, Chamber of Commerce registration, road tax receipts and an updated fleet list.

TEATT warns that permits that have gone unused for more than six months may be suspended or revoked.

After the deadline, outstanding cases may be referred for administrative action.
