A new class of 23 law enforcement recruits has completed the four-week “Stronger Together” introduction program and is now beginning a two-year professional training course.
The group includes 13 Coast Guard recruits, five from the Caribbean Netherlands Police Force and five from the Sint Maarten Police Force.
The introductory phase ended with an entry and cap ceremony at Parera Naval Base.
During the past month, recruits were tested physically and mentally, with a strong focus on discipline, teamwork, resilience, personal development and professional conduct.
Over the next two years, they will receive extensive training in operational skills, integrity, law enforcement procedures and working effectively under pressure.
The joint program is designed to strengthen cooperation between police and Coast Guard services across the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
KPSM says the recruits are now taking an important step toward future roles in public safety and law enforcement.
