The Positive Foundation and Elektralyets Foundation have launched their 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, with a strong focus on early detection, education and access to screening.
This year’s campaign brings back the Pink Faces Project, featuring five women sharing their personal breast cancer journeys under the theme “Real Faces. Real Stories. Real Hope.”
Throughout October, women will have access to free clinical breast examinations at participating clinics and doctors’ offices across Sint Maarten.
The foundations are also partnering with St. Maarten Medical Center to provide 100 free mammograms for uninsured women who are referred after a clinical breast examination.
Free women’s health screenings are also scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd at Vineyard Office Park, including breast exams, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and other health checks.
The campaign will continue throughout October with the annual Pink Parade, walks, wellness events, support activities and educational sessions.
The message remains simple: know your body, get screened and act early.
