The Ministry of TEATT has published its updated list of bus and taxi operators who have completed the 2026 Confirmation Letter Process.
According to the Ministry, approximately 130 passenger buses and 399 taxis have so far been verified and issued their 2026 confirmation letters. The exercise is part of an ongoing clean-up of Sint Maarten’s public transportation database.
Bus and taxi permit holders whose license plates do not appear on the published list now have until Wednesday, October 14th at 4 p.m. to contact the Inspectorate of Economic and Transport Affairs and complete any outstanding requirements.
Operators who are no longer active must also notify the Inspectorate in writing and provide a copy of their permit.
TEATT warns that permits which have not been used for more than six consecutive months may be subject to temporary suspension or permanent revocation under the National Ordinance on Passenger Transport.
The Ministry says the deadline represents a final opportunity for outstanding permit holders to regularize their records.
