Windward Islands Bank brought employees, customers, families and community members together for its “Walking into the Future – Building Progress” Walk-a-Thon on Sunday, September 27th.
Participants gathered at the WIB Bush Road Digital Branch before setting off on a route through Bush Road, Welgelegen Road, Church Hill, Little Bay and Philipsburg.
The event focused on healthy lifestyles, community connection and environmental responsibility.
Fruit stations were placed along the route, while water refill stations encouraged participants to use reusable bottles and reduce waste.
WIB employees assisted with registration and coordination, while the St. Maarten Red Cross provided support along the route.
After completing the walk, participants returned to the Bush Road branch for breakfast and a chance to relax and connect.
The event had originally been scheduled for August 30th but was postponed because of bad weather.
