Residents and business owners along Beaver Drive in Cay Hill have joined forces to improve the condition of the unpaved section of the road.

The community initiative was organized after residents became frustrated with worsening conditions, particularly during rainfall when standing water was undermining the road surface.

A small committee approached residents and businesses to contribute funds toward the project.

Work began early Sunday morning with a loader leveling the road, followed by the compaction of loose dirt to improve the street’s durability.

The project was coordinated by Linda and Frank Moise, Jovanie Stapleton, Carl Richardson, Juan Richardson and Rolando Tobias.

Organizers described the effort as an example of community cooperation, with residents and local businesses contributing to improvements that benefit everyone using the road.

Coordinator Linda Moise thanked those who contributed financially and the volunteers who helped oversee the work.
