St. Maarten’s Dashaun Prince has been crowned the 2026 Essence and Mind International Swimsuit Pageant Queen following a closely contested competition on October 3rd.

According to results supplied to NEWSDESK, Prince finished with 1,330 points, defeating Zaine Frederick of Antigua and Barbuda, who placed first runner-up with 1,298 points, and Liberty Woodley of St. Kitts and Nevis, who finished second runner-up with 1,290.

Prince captured three category awards: Best Creative Pink, Best Patriotic Wear and Best Glitz & Glam Wear.

Frederick won Best Identical Wear and Best Question and Answer.

Only 40 points separated the top three contestants, highlighting the strength of the competition.

The pageant was held under the theme “The Reign of Excellence, Where Queens Lead, Inspire and Leave a Legacy.”

Prince has a background in dance and modelling and previously said representing Sint Maarten was an opportunity to showcase the island’s talent, culture and spirit.

Her victory now brings the international title home to St. Maarten.
