A free Migratory Bird Festival will be held on Saturday, October 10th, from 9 a.m. to noon at Amuseum Naturalis at The Old House in French Quarter.

The family-friendly event will celebrate St. Martin’s migratory birds with games, crafts, nature activities and access to the museum grounds.

The festival will also launch a new bilingual English and French coloring book and nature journal called Wetlands Around Me, featuring 33 plants and animals found in St. Martin’s wetlands.

Free copies will be available while supplies last.

Children and families can also take part in activities including Bird Bingo, a Bird Habitat Scavenger Hunt, coloring stations and a craft activity where participants can decorate a migratory bird-themed wooden box.

Native tree seeds will also be distributed for planting at home, helping support both migratory and resident birds with food and shelter.

The event is organized by Les Fruits de Mer and is free to the public.
