The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation has officially released the schedule for Carnival 2027, featuring 20 days of festivities along with six days of pre-Carnival events.

Carnival officially opens on April 15th and closes on May 3rd, 2027, returning to the festival’s traditional timeframe after the extended 55th anniversary celebrations in 2026.

The schedule includes 13 local nights, six international concert nights, three parades and four jump-ups.

Major events returning include Caribbean Flag Fest, Bacchanal Sunday, Noche Latina, Reggae Night, Night of the Hit Makers, Soca Rumble, the Calypso Competition and both the Senior and Caribbean Carnival Queen pageants.

The Lighted Labour Day Parade will also return as a permanent fixture following its successful introduction in 2026.

New SCDF President Marie Gittens says the foundation will continue placing strong emphasis on local culture while preparing for another major Carnival season.
