The Windward Islands Bank will undergo a leadership transition at the end of this year, with longtime Country Head Daisy Tyrol-Carolus set to retire on December 31st, 2026.
MCB Group has announced that Camillo Bakhuis will succeed her.
Bakhuis will join WIB on November 1st as Country Head St. Maarten Designate, allowing for a transition period before officially assuming the role.
He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in Caribbean financial services, including senior roles in operations, risk management, credit administration and organizational development.
Bakhuis has also worked in Sint Maarten before and returns with familiarity with the local business environment.
MCB Group praised Tyrol-Carolus for her years of service, leadership and contribution to WIB and the wider community.
The bank says the transition period is intended to ensure continuity, transfer institutional knowledge and maintain key relationships as WIB moves into its next chapter.
