The University of St. Martin will host a public lecture on perimenopause and menopause on Thursday, October 15th, in observance of World Menopause Day.

The session, titled “(Peri)Menopause… Nobody Told Me This!”, will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Room 202 at USM.

The discussion will cover more than hot flashes, with topics including hormonal and physical changes, Hormone Replacement Therapy, mental health, intimacy, fitness, lifestyle adjustments and natural approaches.

The panel will feature Dr. Laurien Reinders, naturopathic practitioner and menopause coach Kenan L’Homme, and educator, counselor and author Amy Arrindell.

The discussion will be moderated by Khalilah Peters, with participants also able to ask questions during the session.

USM says sensitive or personal questions can be submitted anonymously in advance.

The event is open to people experiencing menopause, those supporting someone through it, and anyone interested in learning more.
