ANGUILLA has won two major regional honors at the 2026 World Travel Awards, taking the titles of Caribbean’s Leading Culinary Destination and Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Island Destination.

The awards were presented on October 11th at the Caribbean and Americas Gala Ceremony in Jamaica.

Jameel Rochester, Director of Tourism at the Anguilla Tourist Board, accepted the awards on behalf of the island.

Tourism officials say the recognition reflects Anguilla’s mix of high-end resorts and villas, personalized hospitality and a strong culinary scene ranging from local beachside dining to fine dining experiences.

The Tourist Board also credited chefs, restaurateurs, hotel teams, villa operators and small businesses for contributing to the island’s tourism product.

Anguilla’s tourism sector received further recognition at the ceremony, with Andy’s Auto Rentals named Anguilla’s Leading Car Rental Company for 2026.

A big shout-out to our viewers in Anguilla. Newsdesk.
