NEWSDESK has received an eyewitness report of a vehicle being stolen in broad daylight near a bus stop in Sucker Garden.
According to the witness, an elderly man, described as a well-known local attorney, briefly stepped out of his vehicle to purchase a newspaper when another man allegedly entered the vehicle and drove away.
The witness says the elderly man was visibly shaken following the incident and was later taken to the police station by someone who had witnessed what happened.
At this time, NEWSDESK has not received an official statement from the Sint Maarten Police Force, and the circumstances surrounding the reported theft have not been independently confirmed.
