The District Governor for Lions District 60B, Hyacinth Jeremiah, recently visited Sint Maarten as part of his annual tour of Lions Clubs across Sint Maarten, St. Eustatius, Saba and Anguilla.

During his October 6th visit, Jeremiah met with Governor Ajamu Baly, President of Parliament Sarah Wescot-Williams and Prime Minister Dr. Luc Mercelina to discuss continued collaboration and community service.

The visit also included discussions with the Sint Maarten Lions Club on planned activities for the 2026–2027 service year.

Club initiatives focus on areas including vision, hunger, youth, the environment, diabetes, cancer and other humanitarian causes.

Sint Maarten Lions Club President Elton Richardson also highlighted major fundraising events such as the Wally Havertong Lions Christmas Bingo Spectacular and the Father’s Day Car Raffle.

Jeremiah praised the Sint Maarten Lions Club as an example of strong community engagement and said its practices could benefit other clubs across the region.
